Dr. Battle

Dr. Battle was born in Marshall, Texas. After living throughout the Southeast, he returned to Texas to enter and graduate from Rice University. In 1965, he received his M.D. from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Following a year of rotating internship with the United States Public Health Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia, he served a residency of two years at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston.

For sixteen years, Dr. Battle performed surgery and delivered babies as most family physicians do. In 1984, he learned of preventive medicine through chelation therapy and good nutritional alternatives versus the frequent side effects of synthetic pharmaceuticals. Since then, he has focused attention on treating the cause of disease as opposed to merely treating symptoms.

He is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and a Diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Metal Toxicology. He is a member of the Texas Medical Association and the Harris County Medical Society. Due to the negative impact on health by toxic wastes and pollution, he was prompted to join the American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM) in 1985. He has been a member of the American College for the Advancement of Medicine ACAM* since 1984.

Dr. Battle has served the community as a Rotarian, United Fund Director, as a Director of Texas Heart Association, and as President of the Bay Area Chapter of the Texas Heart Association. He has also served as "Physician of the Day" for the Texas State Legislature.

He is a proud father of six grown children, sixteen grandchildren and a member of the St. Cyril of Alexandria Catholic Community in Houston.
