To celebrate the introduction of the first Scania
Euro III double deck Citybus in Hong Kong, Forefront Group has held a
Handover Ceremony on 20 November 2001. Mr. Allen Yang, Chief Executive
of Forefront International Holdings Ltd., Mr. Haakan Ericsson, Senior
Vice President of Scania, and Mr. Paul Li, Assistant General Manager (Engineering)
of Citybus, were presented to officiate the ribbon-cutting ceremony and
key presentation.
Scania
Euro III Double Deck Bus is one of the cleanest buses to be operating
on the streets of Hong Kong. The innovative "turbo intercooler"
diesel engine will comply with the high environmental standards set out
by the Euro III Emission Standards. A Scania Particulate Filter, which
reduces particles emitted from buses, further enhances compliance with
the latest standards. Volgren, one of the biggest bus body manufacturers
in Australia, has built the bus body. The bus is fabricated with an aluminum
body, which is corrosion resistant and lightweight resulting in longer
brake and tyre life and better fuel economy. Apart from environmental
protection, Scania Euro III Double Deck Bus also focuses on passenger
safety as it is one of the first heavy duty buses fitted with Disc Brakes
and Anti-Brake System (ABS) which guarantees a safe and comfortable journey.
